6th Annual MAF World Cup
03 Aug 2017
MAF World Cup in Las Vegas is an open annual tournament for all MAFIA players around the World. It's the only MAFIA tournament, where winners receive monetary prize. The best player is recognized as The DON and awarded a uniquely designed bracelet.

35 players from all over the world participated in the 6th Annual MAF World Cup. Every registered participant played 6 games in the first round on August 3 and 4. The best 20 players played 3 more games in the second round on August 5. And the best 10 players played 1 FINAL game on August 5 at 11 pm. The award ceremony and the post-Award Gala took place immediately after the FINAL game.

This was by far one of the most interesting and entertaining tournaments over the past few years determined by not only the highest quality of players, but also the very high quality of actual games. Out of 28 games of the World Cup, the Sheriff was "shot" during the first night 12 times. Mafia won more games than Citizens for the first time in the history of World Cups. And the very Final game became an image of the whole tournament: the Sheriff was shot the very first night and Mafia won on the very last vote at the table.

Vazgen Badalyan from Maf Club Black Cat (San Francisco) was able to repeat his success of the last year and won the bracelet of the Don the second year in a row. He also matched the success of Natalia Hagopjanian, who also won the World Cup two years in a row. Thus these two players are wearing the last four bracelets of the World Cup. Will any of these (or other players) be able to win the World Cup three times? Let's wait and see.
